For the third year in a row, Siempre Mujer magazine honors "Always Inspiring" Hispanic women in its signature Siempre Inspiran October/November feature. The 2008 honorees -- Myrka Dellanos, Mayte Prida, Laura Posada, María Elena Salinas, Ingrid Betancourt, Maria D. Roberts and Marisol González -- were chosen for their hands-on commitment to important causes in the Hispanic community. The magazine will celebrate this year's honorees at a VIP Hudson Hotel Siempre Inspiran Awards Reception on September 23, hosted by Editor-in-Chief Johanna Torres and Al Rojo Vivo's Candela Ferro, one of last year's honorees. The event will be sponsored by Mary Kay and Yoplait and will feature a silent auction to benefit the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation, which works to eliminate cancers affecting women and ending the epidemic of violence against women. Among other special guests will be last year's cover star and Siempre Inspiran honoree Adamari López. López penned the introduction to this year's magazine feature discussing how being diagnosed with breast cancer three years ago caused her to commit her life to fighting the disease. She shares: "That experience, as difficult and challenging as it was, changed me into a woman filled with positive energy toward everyone around me. I even dare say that that predicament made me a new woman."
