RKM & Ken-Y’s latest musical opus “The Royalty: La Realeza” is the #1 album on the Soundscan Latin sales chart. The romantic duo are officially the kings of soundscan as their sophomore album becomes the highest selling Latin album in the US and Puerto Rico in its second week of release. The album has already shipped more than 100,000 units to date and is certified as a platinum record.“The Royalty: La Realeza”, released under Pina Records/Machete Music, brings RKM & Ken-Y their first overall Latin Chart number one. Their debut album “Masterpiece” peaked at the number two position when it was released in February of 2006. The album went on to sell more than one million units worldwide and is still recognized as one of reggaeton music’s most successful albums to date.With “The Royalty”, RKM & Ken-Y are on pace to top their previous accomplishments. The album has been praised by press, media and fans as an evolution of the genre with musical influences that include everything from R&B and pop sounds to cumbia and tropical influences.
